Contribution of IQAC to institutionalize the quality assurance strategies and processes:

To ascertain and attain the quality motives in various academic and administrative functions in the institute, Strategic Plan of the institute was developed with various parameters which improve the quality of various functions in the institute. The responsibility of developing the action plan for implementation of strategic plan in all the functions of the institute with the support of all the functionaries in the institute like faculty, non-teaching staff, administrative and ministerial staff lies with IQAC.

The IQAC supports all programmes in the institute to take up continual improvement projects which enhances the effectiveness of teaching and learning.

IQAC ensures that the quality motives are being implemented properly as per the plan by periodical academic and administrative audits.

Various quality initiatives to improve the quality of teaching-learning process and other activities in the institute are discussed in the regular meetings of members of IQAC. The quality improvement initiatives discussed are informed to Heads of Department and advised to discuss further with their respective faculty and staff and to implement.

One practice institutionalized as IQAC initiative is the preparation of department calendar of events. It was discussed in the IQAC meeting and decided to prepare the Department Calendar of Events with proper planning of various events to be organized in the department in a particular semester. The calendar of events is being prepared before the beginning of the semester which indicates the departmental events including Invited lectures, Workshops for Students, Faculty Development Programmes, Project Exhibitions, Technical Talks, Hackathon, Panel Discussion with Industrialists, etc. All these events help students to develop leadership qualities, technical knowledge, organizational skills and networking skills.

Another important practice initiated by the IQAC is the use of Information and Communication Technology [ICT] tools in teaching which leads to the improvement in the teaching-learning process. The various ICT methods which can be used in the formal and informal teaching methods were discussed in the IQAC meeting and were informed to all the faculty so that it can be used effectively. It improves the quality of teaching and thereby achieving the required course outcomes.
